Scanning, text recognition and redaction run on your device. Documents leave it only if you turn on sync (end-to-end encrypted), create a share link, send with Drop, connect a backup to your own cloud storage, use an AI action, or export or share a file yourself. See how data moves.

Not the contents. Documents are end-to-end encrypted on your device before upload and only your devices hold the key. We see details such as file sizes, dates and your account email. If you use an AI action, the text of the pages you choose goes to our AI provider. Keep your recovery code: without it we cannot restore your documents if you lose every device.

In the app, open the plan screen and tap Restore purchases. Use the same Apple or Google account you paid with. A web subscription follows your YomuScan account.

It finds common personal details and puts a black box over each one. You review every box before you export. Some documents, such as US driver’s licenses, are not detected yet, so cover those by hand.

You keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for. After that YomuScan returns to the Free plan and your documents stay.

In the app, open Settings › Account › Delete account. If you cannot sign in, request deletion on the web. Documents on your devices are not affected.
